Craig: Yes, I'm using kk because it sits better in my brain than fraking. It's sort of like moping vs. mopping... if the vowel sounds like a vowel, it gets one consonant, otherwise two. *shrugs* Also, I have to agree with you on all of your spoilers, aside from one very minimal point: Gaius Baltar is a fraktard. XD

Seriously though, it was a great show, and definitely something I'd like to get on DVD at some point. Oh, and if you haven't seen it, do so. Now.

My next adventure is the 1978 series, just to say I've seen it. Also, I have my hands on a copy of Caprica, so that needs to be watched too.

First off, I just want to say that next year won't come soon enough... I had that much fun.

There are a decent amount of pictures on my Facebook account, and a sizable portion involve Nabeshin. At some point during the weekend, he had gotten ahold of an IRT radio and started calling people. He even called Venus (one of the other Guest Escorts) to the Green Room. It was very amusing. So we got him an IRT vest for the day, and even got him his own IRT badge.

Not sure what all to tell, but I worked somewhere around 54 hours at ACen. I escorted just about everyone on the list at some point, except for the DJs (other than HeavyGrinder).

And I have stories. Loads of stories. I'll write em down eventually (hopefully).

I, personally, like using it.

So, I'm sitting here, waiting for Shay (my gf) to get done taking a shower so we can go help a friend of ours (Riker) from ACen with moving some stuff for a friend of his, then going to the MAPS (parent of ACen) office to help out with putting together ACen badges and mailing them. After that, we're going to Bensenville to hang out with a buddy of hers who I met the last time she was down here (his name's Matt, cool guy).

But yeah, lately life has been good. Still meat-free, which is getting easier every day. I found a place last night called The Chicago Diner. Its about a 10-15 minute walk from my place, and the menu is all veggie/vegan friendly, which ROCKS. I am drinking alcohol again, but in very limited quantities. No more blitzed-out-of-his-mind Skip.

Work is alright, other than the new guy pushing my buttons. Though, to be fair, it seems he is pushing all of our buttons, so I guess I shouldn't take it too personally.

In my spare time, I've been watching a lot of random shows, and also just started watching Battlestar Galactica. If you've seen it, please don't spoil it for me. Normally, I don't mind spoilers, but this show seems to be built heavily on those very spoilers, so I'd like to minimize them if possible.

That's it for now. Hope everyone else is doing well.

But first, my week (pt. 2):

I found out that the whole situation with the pregnant woman on Monday was a "sexual transaction gone awry", and that she was of the drugged-out variety. Sadly, this means I feel less sorry for the woman, but more sorry for the unborn baby and the situation she found herself in.

On Tuesday, Brian Urlacher from the Chicago Bears came in for a while... really nice guy.

On Wednesday, I was going to lunch with a buddy from work and as we were walking into the restaurant, Daryl Hannah was walking out. For those who aren't sure who she is, think Elle (the eye patch wearing lady) from Kill Bill.

And now, for the purpose of this post...

Chances are you won't see me much around ACen if you're going. That's because I've been recruited for Guest Escorts, which is the group in IRT who specifically deal with escorting guests of honor (duh) to and from where they need to be.

So yeah, more famous people coming soon.

So I just had one of the craziest nights ever at work...

First, the Amber Alert. We normally find the missing child within 2 or 3 minutes. This one took 5 or 6, mainly because his siblings knew where he was but didn't think to tell their mother.

Second, someone stole anywhere from 200 to 18,000 redemption tickets out of one of the video games. It didn't help that our new guy seemed to make it easy for them by forgetting to lock the game when he opened.

Third, and final, was the attempted rape victim (who also happened to be very visibly pregnant). She stumbled into our front door, completely naked aside from a white sports bra. What's worse is the guy followed her inside while there were three of us standing there! He was promptly arrested by the off-duty police officer who happens to be our security.

I might actually go to this.
